The Club was chartered on September 18, 1948.  The Club will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. Past International President Edna Nairn, member of the Zonta Club of Windsor-Essex County, organized the Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent. 

Presently we have 15 members who are very active in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to advance the Status of Women.  

Chatham-Kent is known as the Maple City and  has a population of over 100,000.  Chatham is an urban area surrounded by the former county of Kent which is rural.  The major industries in the Municipality are related to the auto industry, farming, energy and health care.
